Christway Thanksgiving Outreach Serves Skid Row
This Thanksgiving, Christway brought gratitude, generosity, and community to Skid Row in Los Angeles. With the help of volunteers and supporters, the outreach team distributed 100 home-cooked meals, bottled water, hygiene kits, Bibles, and handwritten letters to people facing homelessness.
The outreach was built around a simple goal: share hope and kindness with individuals who are often overlooked. Volunteers prepared traditional Thanksgiving meals to provide comfort and nourishment during the holiday. Care packages also included hygiene items such as toothpaste, soap, and socks to help meet everyday needs.
Each package also contained a Bible and a handwritten letter. These letters carried messages of encouragement and reminded recipients that they were seen and valued. For many people, the personal notes created meaningful moments of connection during the outreach.
On Thanksgiving Day, the Christway team walked through the streets of Skid Row distributing meals and supplies. Beyond handing out items, volunteers spent time listening, talking, and sharing words of encouragement with the people they met.
Outreach events like this reflect Christway’s commitment to serving communities through faith, compassion, and practical support. By meeting both physical and spiritual needs, these efforts aim to demonstrate God’s love in real and tangible ways.
The Skid Row outreach was made possible through the support of volunteers, donors, and community members who came together to serve others during the holiday season.
